Bombyx Growth Fund II (BGF II) is a specialized investment fund targeting the textile and fashion industry, which is a USD 2.5 trillion market employing over 60 million people globally. The fund focuses on sustainability and circularity, aiming to drive innovation in technologies, processes, and materials that reduce the environmental footprint of the industry. Bombyx II is an Article 8 fund in terms of the classifications created by the European Union's Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), i.e. a fund promoting environmental or social characteristics alongside traditional financial returns.
BGF II invests in growth and early growth stage companies that support circularity or reduce negative environmental and social impacts. The fund targets founder-led companies with revenues between EUR 0.5 million and EUR 50 million, solid financials, and a clear path to profitability. The companies must also have scalable business models with global potential.
Bombyx II has started fundraising with the aim of a first closing in the autumn of 2024 and final closing 18 months later.
